PROTector Helmet alert

Be advised that owners of these hats have had tagging refused at events.

"The Protector Riding Hats are manufactured to the SNELL E2001 standard however the panel of material which the standard details are written on is attached to the inside of the hat with a form of double sided tape. This is causing some problems as the tape is unsurprisingly becoming loose and so the whole information label can become entirely detached from the hat, and in the worst case be stuck into another, perhaps not to standard, hat."

Advise issued to stewards from the BHS is as follows:

  • If it is obvious that the label inside the hat is still securely attached to the hat, then do tag it.
  • If the label is coming away from the hat or is totally detached, then please do not tag the hat and explain the reason to the competitor."

If your hat is suffering from the above please return the hat to the manufacturers who have undertaken to fix the problem.

Changes to published Show Schedule

Please note the following changes to published schedule:

  1. All classes will run in order of entry/declaration from now (11/5) onwards
  2. The highest number Prelim test at each show will now have an Open section as well as a Junior and Restricted.   This was felt to be necessary to provide those wishing to do the Novice Standard Test with a competitive warm up option whilst still giving less experienced combinations the chance be competitive.  All adults will be assumed to be in the restricted section unless they state otherwise at point of entry; however if any adult combination scores 65% or above in 3 separate classes then they will be moved into the open section thereafter.

** Combined Training Rescheduled **

The combined training originally scheduled for this Sunday 14th has been postponed to Sunday 28th April.

This is because of poor ground conditions.
