Free Biomechanics Riding Workshop

The workshop is called 'Become a Better Rider Without Even Touching Your Horse' and it:

  • demonstrates and explains what Biomechanics is and how it can help your riding
  • teaches breathing techniques and how to engage your core
  • Helps you to become "super aware".

Biomechanics is becoming so important in our sport. Horses are masters of compensation and the slightest misalignment or discrepancy in the rider means the horse will have to deal with it. This can lead to loss of performance and even injury. I want to make Biomechanics accessible to ALL and help us and our four legged friends move and feel better!

The workshop is on Friday 9th December, 7pm, at Sheepy Magna Memorial Hall...So no cold fingers and toes! There will be tea and coffee available and it is completely FREE!!

ADRC Quadrille Team is looking for new blood!

Following the success of the ADRC Quadrille team last year being just 1 mark off qualifying for Olympia we are about to start training to try to go one better this year! We are looking for new members to try out for the team.

If you are interested in riding in a team of four people and also like dressing up and crafting then this will be for you! As long as your horse is sensible around others and happy to be dressed up (last year they were pirate ships!) then you are welcome to come along. We will be holding practice sessions through the summer at the club field. This year’s theme is yet to be decided so your input is welcome.

This session will consist of a demonstration of a quadrille routine to music, practicing movements and then putting together and running through a whole routine. We will have Debbie Middleton as our instructor to help out from the ground. We will also bring some costume items for you to try on your horses to make sure they are happy to wear them.

The cost will be £15 to cover the instructor. ADRC members only you can join on the day.

Please message Jo Wyles on 07912159031 to book.
